“Metamorphosis of Love” Exhibition Took Place in Kadıköy
Kadıköy, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant cultural districts, hosted an international artistic gathering in February 2026. Organized in collaboration with Nidra Art Project and Sanatif Yaklaşımlar, the “Metamorphosis of Love” International Group Exhibition opened its doors to art lovers with an opening reception on February 13, 2026, and remained on view until February 25, 2026.
Curated by Mohsen Mohammad Zadeh, the exhibition approached the concept of love beyond the limits of a single definition, presenting it as a transforming, evolving, and reinterpreted emotion. The opening night attracted significant interest, bringing together artists and art enthusiasts while showcasing works from diverse artistic disciplines.
The exhibition explored love beyond romantic symbolism, interpreting it through themes such as memory, distance, fragility, silence, and rebirth. Each artwork offered a unique narrative, revealing a different layer of this timeless emotion. Rooted in tradition yet shaped through contemporary modes of expression, the works established a thoughtful dialogue between past and present, inviting viewers into both an intimate and cultural journey.
Featuring artists from Türkiye, New Zealand, Italy, Russia, and Iran, the exhibition created a space for intercultural dialogue. Different aesthetic perspectives converged under one roof, reflecting the universal language of contemporary art.
Held at Nidra Art Project & Sanatif Yaklaşımlar in Acıbadem, Kadıköy, the exhibition concluded on February 25, 2026. “Metamorphosis of Love” left a strong and lasting mark on Istanbul’s February art calendar, encouraging audiences to reconsider one of humanity’s most enduring emotions through the lens of contemporary art.
